Beyond The Verge features

An evidence-based overview of memory, map, companions, rules, encounters, genres, and Community worlds.

From an action to a persistent world

Each subsystem has a distinct responsibility. Rules determine a valid result; memory stores confirmed facts and provenance; the map replays applied location changes; companions preserve identity, presence, and relationships across scenes.

Encounters support combat and social objectives with explicit completion, while ten Genre Kits change literary emphasis. Published Community worlds are versioned, and a new campaign receives an independent branch rather than another player's private history.

Boundary and failure behavior

Older campaigns may have a different data set, and a capability can depend on the selected world or platform. The linked guides document the boundaries.
