Practical guide
Solo or team: choosing an adventure format
How a single-hero campaign differs from a team adventure with server-owned companions.
Short answer
Solo focuses on inner conflict and personal decisions. Team creates one to four stable server-owned companions with relationships; it is not multi-player control.
What to do
- Choose solo for solitude, identity exploration, and direct pacing.
- Choose team for dialogue, obligations, and disagreement within the group.
- Quick start selects without bias, then the initial world is committed atomically.
Practical scenario
In a team adventure, a companion may oppose a risky plan. Their position matters to the scene, while the player still chooses the hero's action.
Limitations
- Team does not turn companions into extra player-controlled avatars.
- The format does not let the client create NPCs or directly edit relationships.
Common question
How many companions can a team start with?
One to four, when world generation and validation successfully create each profile.
