How worlds and branches work
An authored world defines initial locations, themes, and anchor entities. A published Community world has a version: a new campaign receives that foundation and then develops in its own branch with separate turns, memory, and consequences.
Another player's private history is not copied into your campaign. Author changes after publication should not silently rewrite an adventure already in progress; a new version is selected as a new foundation.
Boundary and failure behavior
A world's availability and mechanics depend on its published version. A setting description does not guarantee a predetermined story ending.
