How speech playback, automatic reading, speaking rate, and editable dictation work in Beyond The Verge.
Short answer
Use Listen on a completed response. Voice settings offer automatic reading of new responses and three speaking rates. Speech playback currently supports Russian.
What to do
- Open Settings, then Voice, to enable automatic reading or change the rate.
- Use the microphone to dictate for up to 60 seconds, then review and edit the recognized text.
- Press Send yourself when ready. Dictation never submits an action automatically.
Practical scenario
A player dictates an action, corrects a place name in the draft, and only then sends the turn.
Limitations
- Playback and microphone support depend on the browser and device.
- There is no voice selector in the current settings. Automatic reading does not replay the entire history.
Common question
Can I keep typing instead?
Yes. Typed text and reviewed dictation use the same action field.
